The Association of Government Accountants (AGA) Guam Chapter provides several educational programs and professional development seminars, which support governmental and financial policies and practices within the island of Guam. 

 

The Chapter has since grown its membership and continues to advance government accountability and the profession through various activities, including but not limited to:

  • Offering CPEs during general membership meetings or other training sessions;

  • Speaking at student organizations, offering scholarships, and establishing a mentorship program;

  • Offering support for CGFM candidates and scholarships;
    and

  • Providing awards for government entities that prepare
    Citizen-Centric Reports.

Events & Announcements
31st Annual Guam International Coastal Clean-Up

The 31st Annual Guam International Coastal Clean-Up (GICC) is on Saturday, September 20, 2025. Showtime /check-in will begin at 6:00 AM and go time will start at 7:00 AM at the Pago Bay Site/Francisco Perez Beach. You may join another site for the clean-up. Please email a photo to self-certify for a community service credit.

Please register online at: https://bsp.guam.gov/gicc2025/. There is NO on-site registration on the day of the event. The number of tickets for each site will be capped based on the severity of trash in the area and the number of volunteers needed for each site.

 

Registered volunteers will receive gloves and trash bags upon check-in and a free Coastal Cleanup T-shirt at check-in (while supplies last). Please wear appropriate clothing for outdoors, sunblock, and bring your refillable water bottle. 

UOG and GCC Scholarship Opportunities

The AGA Guam Chapter is offering scholarships for Fall 2025:

 

  • Two $1,000 Herminia Dierking Scholarships. Two (2) undergraduate students at the University of Guam who have exhibited academic excellence in the Accounting, Business Administration, Finance and Economics, or Public Administration disciplines; and

  • Two $500 AGA Guam Chapter Scholarships. Two (2) undergraduate students at the Guam Community College who have exhibited academic excellence in the Accounting discipline.

Please note the minimum GPA of 3.0 should be as of Spring Semester 2025.
